My family has had the pleasure of being in the radon industry for over 30 years. We first became involved with Professional House Doctors in 1992. Professional House Doctors is the oldest and most experienced radon company in Iowa, offering the best radon guarantee and the longest warranty. We also serve as consultants to the United States EPA.

A few years , Dane Shearer, a franchisor with Professional House Doctors, learned that a new standard was going to be implemented, requiring alarms on all newly installed mitigation systems. Having personally witnessed countless systems fail without the occupants’ knowledge, we strongly supported this idea. However, when we began to look at the limited selection of alarms, all of which were made in China, we were greatly disappointed.

Dane took it upon himself to research the possibility of manufacturing alarms here in the United States. This research eventually led to the creation of the greatest variety of radon system alarms available, each designed to outlast anything else on the market today. Dane manufactured the alarms for several years before selling the company to our family in 2024.

Our family has been proudly manufacturing all of the alarms in Rock Valley, IA. We are a tight-knit, family-owned business dedicated to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to our community and customers.
